Ownership of goods will remain with CBC Car Spares until payment is received in full.

Any claim, or dispute respecting an order should be addressed to the company within 10 days of the date of purchase, quoting the invoice number and this date.

Parts ordered in error must be returned in their original packaging and be in a resellable condition.  They must be returned within 10 days of the date of purchase and sent to CBC Car Spares, 12 Stanley Road, Oldbury, West Midlands B68 0DY.  The buyer will be responsible for the cost of despatch and return postage.  They will also be subject to a 20% handling charge on the cost of the goods returned.  Parts returned damaged, incomplete, or not in a resellable condition will be rejected and not refunded.  We will return the rejected part back to you, but the customer will be liable for the return postage cost.  Carriage orders refused acceptance by the customer at the point of delivery, will incur a return postage charge of £23.50. 

Automotive electrical parts such as spark plugs, ignition leads, coil packs, distributors, distributor components, alternators, starter motors,etc. cannot be ordered for fault finding purposes and then returned back to us.  These type of parts which are sent back to us will be checked and/or tested before a refund is made.  If no fault is found then we will be unable to offer you a refund, but would send you the parts back, at the cost of a further delivery charge.  We obviously advise you to make sure you determine the correct fault on your car, before ordering these types of parts.

Unless stated otherwise, parts are guaranteed for 12 months/20,000 miles, whichever occurs first.  Guarantees will be void due to any external faults, or if there is evidence of misuse of the product by the customer.  Faulty products will be replaced free of charge.  This guarantee covers defects to the part when fitted and used correctly for normal, everyday vehicle use but does not apply to parts used for any extraordinary or unusual uses such as taxis, competition, racing, rallying or parts subsequently stripped down, altered, modified or adapted etc. in any way from their original design or intended use.

You should notify us immediately if a potential warranty situation arises. We will then advise a course of action. Any suspected faulty part must be returned to us together with the original invoice or proof of purchase and with as much information relating to the problem as possible. Please note that a defective part must be returned and received by us before it can be exchanged. All warranty parts are subject to a physical inspection. This may involve returning the part to our supplier to verify the fault before it can be exchanged.

Our warranty only covers the parts in question and not to any consequential loss or cost, eg garage labour, recovery, car hire, re-delivery, parking fines etc. No claim will be validated if the failure is caused by mis-use, neglect, overheating, incorrect installation or failure of a related component.
 

Bikes collected from our shop are fully assembled.  Those sold by mail order will be dispatched in box form.  These bikes will require some assembly due to packaging.  If you are not skilled in this, then we advise employing the service of a skilled bike mechanic to perform this task. We do not accept liability for any faults, damage, or injury caused by the incorrect assembly of mail order bikes. 

The frames and forks on the bikes we sell are guaranteed against manufacturing, or material defects for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase.

Provided the bicycle has been properly cared for, maintained and used and has not been fitted with parts other than the manufacturers approved spare part.  This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, alteration, accident, misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, racing, stunt riding, or commercial use (e.g. Hiring).

Regular service is recommended to ensure road worthiness and to prolong the life of your bicycle.

Bikes are guaranteed for normal off road use.  Activities such as "Wheelies", stunt riding or jumping constitutes misuse and will invalidate this guarantee.

In the event of a guarantee claim, please contact us first with your problem and have your original invoice at hand.  Proof of Purchase is The Owners Responsibility for all items purchased on this website

Our Bike suppliers are continually developing their product range and therefore reserve the right to alter components and specifications without notice.

Roof Box Rental

1/ Once a booking has been made we require a refundable deposit. We will then take the rental fee at the point of collection. We will require to see your driving license & a household bill for your home address dated within the last 3 months.

2/ In the event of a cancellation we will retain an amount of your deposit to cover expenses & lost rental fees :-

  • Over 2 weeks notice – Full refund given

  • Less than 2 weeks notice – 50% of your rental fee retained

  • Less than 72 hours notice – Full rental fee retained

3/ We fit the roof bars & assist you with the box installation. Please allow approximately 1 hour for fitting/removing. You must arrive before 3.30pm when you come to collect & then return your hired items.

4/ We will give you instruction for the use and security of the equipment whilst it is in your possession.

5/ When hiring this equipment you are entering a legally binding contract. You are responsible for the safety of the item and its use on the highway. You will be given instructions & guidance for safely attaching this to your vehicle and it is then the hirers responsibilty to ensure this is always carried out safely. CBC Car Spares accept no responsibility for misuse, or accidents involving this equipment during the hire period. Any damage to third parties and/or the equipment is to be paid in full by the hirer. The hirer is responsible for the security of the item during the rental period and any loss due to theft must be paid in full, at market value. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure their vehicle insurance covers the use of this equipment.

6/ The equipment rental is for the period specified above. Other customers have hired this equipment for their holidays. Failure to return the equipment on the day specified will incur an additional rental charge of £25.00/day. This will be taken from the customers deposit.

Delivery Instructions

The buyer must enter there address in full and include a contact telephone number for the delivery address they have provided.  We cannot be held responsible for parcels which go missing due to an incorrect address supplied by the customer.

Deliveries under 2kg are sent by Royal Mail.  Orders over 2kg are sent by APC.  Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, UK Islands and EU orders are despatched by Royal Mail, or DHL.  International deliveries under 2Kg are sent by Royal Mail Air Mail Service.

We advise checking parcel contents before signing courier delivery notes, as it is harder to prove that an item is damaged if you have signed it received in good condition.

Claims for lost parcels must be made within 14 days of the date of invoice.  We reserve the right to investigate claims of loss and/or damage, before issuiing refunds/replacements.
